Kaja Andrić is 18 years old and a senior Communications major at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Andrić would like to move to New York (like Lady Bird) and write (like Eve Babitz).


Andric has been awarded 1st Place Story of the Year in opinion writing from the National Student Press Association, a National Gold Medal for Journalism by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, 1st Place for free (open) form writing and Credible Mention for Alternative Story Presentation at the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s Gold Circle Awards, 2nd Place for Features Writing at the Palm Beach Post Awards, as well as numerous gold and silver keys from the regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She has been a Coverage Editor and currently a Content Team Editor for The Muse, an award-winning newsmagazine at Alexander W Dreyfoos School of the Arts.

Andric has also served as a CORE member of the Omari Hardwick BluApple Poetry Network through the Jason Taylor Foundation. In pursuit of slam poetry, she has served as a co-captain of the Dreyfoos Slam Poetry Team since sophomore year, and since freshman year has competed in the Louder Than A Bomb South Florida Championship. Her team has made it to quarterfinals in 2019, semifinals in 2020, and team finals in 2021. Currently, the Dreyfoos team holds third place in the Louder Than a Bomb South Florida finals. 


Andrić lives in West Palm Beach, Florida with her parents, her cat Bijoux, and her Olivetti Lexikon 80 typewriter.
